• Any Suggestions ??

I have managed to wangle a flying visit to Amsterdam in the next couple of weeks. Unfortunately I will only be there for a day and have done some research on the LCDH website.
i have decided to pick up a box of the RASCC & RASS ( 25 each ) as my main purchase but want to take the opportunity to pick up some other singles or small boxes.
what suggestions would
you give to a relative newcomer to cigars ??

thanks

Try out the HUHC, they are cheap and reliable.

Hi Gojira

Thanks for the reply, have a few of those set aside as a quick smoke already. Will probably pick up a couple more as they are about half price compared to the uk

My pleasure. Did you try the Hoyo Petit Robusto?

Haha. They are very good smokes IMO that need little time down. Or you could get a few different Petit Corona to sample. The Trini Reyes is also a good smoke and they come in boxes of 12 or 24.

Have you got any experience of the Quintero Favouritos ?? Was looking for a real everyday quick smoke and saw these. Have tried JLP petit cazadores and they are a bit one dimensional and was wondering if these were any better ? Or do the JLP's get better with a bit of age on them ??

I've never tried those. I'm not to much into shortfillers.

I'm indebted to gojira too for his recommendation of Amsterdam cigar merchant P.G.C. Hajenius when I visited (for the first time) in June.
I picked-up a box of RASCC too (particularly good value) and also some single Havanas and, at the shop assistant's suggestion as local favourites, a couple of Macanudos which I have still to try but which smell great!
A good place to browse and very helpful and friendly people.

The Quintero Favoritas are a pretty decent, good value, every day smoke; as are the Brevas. I always stock up on JLP Cazadores in Amsterdam. They're two thirds cheaper than UK prices and are very good for the price. They do get better with age too.

You could always get a variety of 3 and 5 packs to try.
