  • Off to Cuba

    Evening Chaps!

Off to Cuba on Tuesday morning, can't wait! Also getting married out there, so it's going to be a very memorable pilgrimage!

So, based on experience, or just your thoughts and you were me, what would you bring back, given the cost savings and joy and being bought in Cuba?

To be honest I'm stumped as to what to do... most expensive to increase savings or a variety, 2 boxes, the rest singles...

    Happy to hear your ideas!

    Nick

Have a wonderful wedding! Saw several couple marrying when we were there. Suggest most expensive cigars you find that you fancy, will be the best saving. Just don't set your heart on one particular item as you're bound to struggle.

Hey nick...hope you have a wonderful time and a fantastic wedding.

There was a similar post the other week.with people's recommendations

As a momento maybe find a box of your wedding year and month....I'm sure those boxes won't be hard to find and to smoke on anniversaries.

Too much choice and a wife who doesn't really want to hang around looking at boxes of cigars will make this a difficult task

Congratulations and all the best nplymouth.

I would go for double coronas for maximum tobacco with the tight import restrictions.

And it appears to be too late to change the wife...

Thanks fellas for all the wishes! Absolutely can't wait!

I'm with Simon on the prices.... and Shamz that idea is pretty magic!

Luckily there is a market right next door to the store I will be purchasing from so hopefully future Mrs P at that point will be happy to do her thang! If I'm more time than her at that point, it will be saying something!

...or not? You've yet to tie the knot, so you've still got a bit of leverage! Perhaps the last you'll ever have...

All the best. Not long back from a friends wedding myself. It was on one of the smaller cayos which was both a blessing and a curse. Cigar shoppers don't typically go to these places so there's not much variety, just the one LCDH, the blessing comes in the form of holiday makers not really knowing what's what and so you can sometimes find some of the more expensive/hard to find stuff gets ignored.

I had thought about some custom rolls, but I am near Holguin not Varadero or Havana. Anyone have experience of getting them and if so, how?
