So, i started with a whinge, and to add some balance or redress the karma!

Years ago a store down in Exeter delivered me some great service. I bought a Partagas humi with x2 boxes of sticks in it from them. I happened to get the owner on the blower and we talked and talked and he juggled the package and juggled the price and delivered it next day!! ... solid service that stuck with me...

most recently also had a positive experience in Stratford upon Avon... tiny cigar selection but cracking service.

McGees? Or something similar? He sorted out a service on my Dupont a few years back, exceptional service from the place. Been meaning to pop in but it's miles away from anywhere I go!

This is a specialist tobacconist! Was disappointing... But everyone can have a bad day, so might give it another look next time i am up there....

Greens is my local but I don't go in that often since I don't smoke very regularly. What I would say is that the owner and one other lady seem to know about cigars, whereas a few of the older ladies don't know much. Despite that, I find they are very pleasant and it hasnt been an issue for me because i know what i want. You normally have to ask to look in the humi because I don't think they actually sell that many premium cigars (I never seen anyone else buying them). The thing to remember is that this isn't a cigar shop per se, it's an old school tobacconist where most of the customers will be coming to buy baccy. Hope this helps.

The bloke seems very knowledgable to me. But I'm just a lament in cigar terms.

Plus i I don't know of any other places with the same amount of stock in the Leeds vacinitie

The only other place I can think of is another tobacconist about 10 doors down from Greens called Ryans, but it doubles up as a newsagents I think. It mostly sells tubos and pipe tobacco but it does have a slightly different selection than Greens

I visited greens a good few years back and haven't been back can't say it was a memorable experience if I remember rightly service wasn't great.

Nope no idea of any mail order company!!
Cuban cigar club is my local B&M in Newcastle fantastic shop excellent walk in humi very extensive selection also with the added bonus of a sampling lounge.. [emoji106][emoji106]

Yep, second that good selection and very helpful staff in there. Never been in the sampling lounge yet, keep meaning to get over on a Friday night too but never managed it yet. :/

I've booked this afternoon out of work to give me the chance to get over to Greens!!!

I popped in a couple of weeks ago and I was told, 'there's an old guy comes in and buys these quite often' and 'these seem to sell well', not much more than that.

I'm new to it all, and my preferred method is to pick up what I like the look of, pay and leave...my plan is to grab a few quick cigars, for when I just want half an hour chilling out, and a couple of bigger smokes for when I'm spending the evening on the decking, away from the bin lids.
