  • Geneva B&M

I'm fortunate enough to have family and friends in France, just across the border from Suisse (Mrs HB is a Grenouille de la montagne) as they say around those parts.

Anyway, it's a few months off but planning is everything, and we'll be out there this year, in the Alps for a proper White Christmas, with (hopefully) a day or 2 on the slopes and now having seen the B&M shops in Geneva (and the prices! ) am
factoring in at least 1 day shopping/smoking in Geneva with brother in law (who is also a BOTL).
Gesto and Rhein are on the list but If we're limited by time to one shop, does anyone have any recent experience of them to make one more worthwhile than the other?

    Cheers.

I had a feeling people would say Gesto. It looks awesome. Like an Aladdins Cave of goodness. Starting to get impatient now - roll on December!

Where are the family HB? Been to Les Gets last year, seems your lot might be close to that area. We drove to Evian on a day trip, gelato was wishing a stones throw but I could persuade the others.

The very same area - family are in Taninges / Verchaix which is just at the bottom of the Les Gets/Morzine road. It's lovely around there. If you're ever back in the area let me know and I'll give you details of my brother in laws restaurant - best pizzas in the region and a sun trap terrace to smoke & drink on!

Nice one bro, I'll be going back for sure. I need to get a solo paraglide flight under my belt and it's cheap to learn there. Also love that area, Morzine is a nice place, Les Gets is lovely but Avoriaz is just plain strange don't you think. Anyway we not going this year because we're off to Mother in Law in Perth WA next month. Via Dubai airport[emoji106]🏻[emoji106]🏻[emoji106]🏻

Perth! Smashing. Great wine ifthat's your thing. And presumably duty free cigars from Dubai!

I've never been to Avoriaz - we've nearly always been on the other side of the valley and skied the Grand Massif, usually staying in Les Carroz or Samoens, both very charming villages, though Samoens very quiet at night so not great for apr?s-ski shenanigans.
