I'll go to Rome in October. How are the prices compared to other European countries?

Beats the UK by a country mile. Had limited exposure when in france but i'm comparing a tabac with cigars in Brittany, with a LCDH cigar store in a capital city.... Rome won hands down.

Suspect Zurich, Spain at large and Andora may be the cigar tourism centres of choice.... Tales on here seem to suggest them as hands down winners.

+1 on Andorra, prices I've seen there are just unfair

                    Hi SHAMZ84!

I recently came across a bag in don TJ's hacienda with the words "Fincato La CASE DEL HABANO" written on it. Inside there was a receipt which showed that don TJ was there in October 2012 and among other things, purchased a hand-full of La Exceptcions. Price: 13 euros each.

In a journal I found next to his humidor, don TJ wrote that he enjoyed his visit to Rome and, in prticular, Fincato, where he smoked a La Exceptcion in their lounge. After smoking one, he bought a few more. So, if you visit Fincato, mention his name and perhaps Emiliano will offer you a discount. Couldn't hurt, right?

By way of an update - I was in Fincato a few days ago. They remain a friendly bunch who are more than happy to open the lounge and show you their display and collection pieces etc. Sadly they only had regular production sticks in stock. their standing stock all looked to be in great condition.

One back up spot that I know of is a Cafe Bar Tabbacheria called Di Rienzo which is off the piazza where the Pantheon is... I found two half boxes of the FdC re: Italia Cassanovas which I bagged into a 'composed' box... they also had s few BHK 56 kicking about.

Bumping this thread as I'm off to Rome next week and hoping to pick up a few bits and lieces. Great info @emaressee, thanks. I wonder if anyone else has been since September last year?

Nope, I went in July and there wasn't much to be had. They had a few interesting things on the shelves but when I inquired about them they told me that those were "on hold". I picked up a box of the Casanova and a box of the Elegantes there.

One of our mutual friends in Rome (Massimo) directed me to look for a Tabacharia in Piazza Barberini which he says is small but he apparently gets some good cigars! Regrettably it was after my last trip, so i cant say i have been but as he used to manage Fincato I trust his word.
