    Hi everyone.
No smoke today as yet. We're just chilling by the pool with the locals.

It's still nice & hot with high humidity but, bearable [emoji51]

          Just an update..hopefully nothing more..
We're expecting Hurricane Patricia to hit us tomorrow ( Friday ) at around 4pm. We should've been flying home but, our flight has been delayed by 24 hrs to allow it to pass!
I'm quite excited! however, my wife is quite terrified. I'll hopefully get some pictures & video to share. i've been tracking it & it looks like it's coming straight at us. We've been told to stay in doors etc. That's not so bad, apart from being on the 8th floor with an ocean view room - It could get interesting to say the least.
Has anyone been on holiday during an Hurricane that could share their experience / give tips?

See you all on the other side!

          Wayne

            Whoa, sounds hairy
Keep your head down and I hope it's not too heavy for you or the area.

Edit: All the weather reports are anticipating this at a Cat 5 (157mph+), so take care Wayne.

We got hit with a typhoon while in Hong Kong eight years ago. Absolutely amazing.
The winds were unreal but the amount of rain that fell in such a short space of time was unbelievable.

Hi everyone. We got through it ok. They evacuated us up into the mountains. We were sent to a college campus. Once night fall came & they confirmed that the storm had moved away from us, they got us back to the hotel. Luckily it had hit land south of us. We had a lot of rain & there was a lot of standing water around. No damage either.
Thanks to you all for thinking of us x

                      Morning all,

                      We're back! Safe & well.
We had an interesting & scary 24 hrs during the Hurricane threat but, we can honestly say that the Mexican people at the shelter were great. We had good food & water supplies to last for at least 72 hrs!
They made sure that everyone was safe & secure. We really can't thank them enough.
Once I've got sorted, I'll upload a couple of holiday pictures. We only have a few from the shelter & no hurricane pictures, as it passed safely away from us.
