  • Cheapest Place in the World for Cuban Cigars?

I don't think I'm breaking any rules with this thread but if I am, please delete.

If one wanted to plan a trip abroad, where is considered the cheapest place/shop in the world for CCs? The obvious answer might be Cuba. If that is so, how do other countries stack up? If not Cuba, where else? And airport duty free or a proper B&M?

South Africa is by no means cheap any more, but I found:
    Partagas Serie D No. 4 - Box of 25 for ?172.00 (?334.00 here)
    Montecristo No. 4 Cigar - Box of 10 for ?44.00 (?107.99 here)
    Jose L Piedra Conservas - Pack of 5 for ?8 (?32.99 here)

All the other high ned names were about 50% of the UK price.

One of the guns where me and my son beat on an estate gets stocked up there.

Just throwing a thought into the ring here, but does the old rule of "you get what you pay for" sometimes not apply here, where quality or how well the cigars have been kept has to be compromised in return for low prices?

The simple answer is no. Assuming the OP is talking about legit brick and mortar vendors in relativly affluent countries .

I was thinking more of the airport and duty free shops.

Have read about some airports not looking after stock correctly. Guess it's up to the buyer to make that judgement call. On the whole though I don't think you can say cheap = poorly maintained.
