Cyprus - Larnaca

Hi All,

Ive an upcoming holiday to Cyprus, I know there is a Casa Del Habano at Larnaca Airport, does anyone have recent experience here, reasonable choice and prices? any particularly good deals to look out for?

We are staying in Protaras, is there likely to be anywhere in or near to the resort or best to stick with the airport?

Quite a big shop at the airport well stocked last time I passed through, staff not that knowable but let me open boxes so I could check contents out
Only two other casa's on the island as far as I know limassol and Nicosia (not sure about the occupied side) from Protaras Nicosia is probably nearer but nicer drive along the cost to Limassol if you have time or take the motorway

Not the cheapest in Europe not the most expensive but a cheaper than here also some old stock hanging around but make sure you check them over as a few were quite dried out.

Didn't go mad but 203 euros for a box of RASS was enough to pull me in with 5 Trini Reyes on the side.

I've been to Protaras and loved it, but that was a fair few years ago now. It isn't a big place and the shops were general rather than luxury.

There is an LCdH in Pathos. The drive doesn't take long, it's just one coast road via Limassol and skirting Ayia Napa. The shopping area in Pathos is quite big, The LCdH did once have a load of older stock, but Cyprus has become a bit like little Moscow .... and they do like their cigars.

Think my fellow Cypriot relatives become a little to relaxed with there Cigars and luxurious pensions! Have never been to any of the LCDH's in Cyprus, my brother was out there recently and said the La Casa in Larnaca Airport looked like a decent store, didnt have enough cash to bring me some back though! (Cyprus has become very expensive in the last 10 years)
