Nice pics, we've stayed in the Nacional twice. It's like stepping back in time inside, the terrace out the back, overlooking the ocean, Mojito & a cigar is heaven!

Yes, a lovely place. My wife and I stayed there during our honeymoon in '09.
Peejay, thank Sears for sharing. The pictures are great.
I need to get back to Cuba soon, it a fantastic country, and now that I know more about cigar than when I went a couple of years ago I just feel it will be all the better!

Indeed it has been some time since I have been on here. I was down in February. My trip over lapped the Habanos festival but we had our own festivities planned. I stayed in Centro and in Pinar del Rio for for 2 days. That is about as exact as I can get with the place we stayed in Pinar as the person we stayed with is not allowed to host foreigners right now. As for pictures....well.... 100_0767.jpg100_0764.jpg100_0786.jpg100_0814.jpgIMG_20150222_143316672_HDR.jpg
Without being terribly long winded.....Cuba is not really what I expected, but then again it was. The first days you are there the 1950's cars take you by surprise. After that it is normal. The Malecon was awesome. I was a block off of it. Every morning I looked off the balcony and there is was. Rush hour in Cuba. The infrastructure there is falling apart...along with all the buildings outside of Old Havana. Internet is a pipe dream there. IMG_20150224_091954810_HDR.jpg
