Cigars & prices in Italy

Hi everyone,

Just getting a little heads up on authentic retailers in Italy. Can anyone recommend any authentic retailers and are prices cheap? May be staying in Bologna, however, interested if there's anywhere worth visiting in Italy in general.

Hi Simon, I don't know about Bologna specifically, but I do know the people who can help are the Congrega Fumatori Indipendenti Lucca (Society of Independent Smokers, check out on Facebook). In case you don?t speak Italian, Antonella Giusti (also on Facebook) speaks English. If you come to Lucca, you can take a tour of the Manifattura Tabacchi (cigar factory), the only place still manufacturing the sigaro toscano in Tuscany, including hand-rolled cigars. They have a factory shop where you can buy. There are at least three ?tabacchi?, shops with a ?T? on a sign outside the shop, in Lucca which sell the toscano. If you look for this sign in Bologna, you?ll probably also find toscano cigars inside. Prices start at about ?2.50 per cigar.
