    Are you being serious?

On the subject of sharing factoids about Malta I know there is no legal minimum wage there

I did 6-8 trips to Malta last year for work. Stopped counting. But I got a box of cigars most times I went there. The prices are at least 50% cheaper than in the UK. Charles Grech has cubans only/mostly and last year had many of them on discount. They are also often a few years old already. 2010 +/- 2 years. I got a box of Montechristo EL 2010 for 135 Euros (box of 10) For all this it is best to go to their flagship store. Give them a call and ask them where it is. The smaller stores have cigars but didn't have any of the discounted ones and much less choice.

In Valetta you also find a very nice shop called 'Franks'. www.franks.com.mt/ T]
Franks has a great selection of new world cigars and some cubans as well. Very friendly service as well.

Then there is a third one. Forgot the name right now. They have a very large selection of new world cigars. I have to check my emails when I am home. I only went to a cigar tasting evening they organized. But they have a vast collection, probably the biggest on Malta.

Enjoy Malta and stock up while you are there...!

Sorry to hijack the thread. Is the custom limit 50 from Malta?

That's not a hijack, its a valid question. Malta is a member state of the EU so the 50 limit shouldn't apply unless someone knows different?

              200

Bringing in goods for personal use when you travel to the UK from abroad - types of tax and duty, duty free, EU and non-EU arrivals, banned and restricted goods.

                This is the valid point

'Although there are no limits to the alcohol and tobacco you can bring in from EU countries, you’re more likely to be asked questions if you have more than the amounts below.'

Just have the right answer ready.

Cheers guys, I wasn't sure as I haven't been to a EU country for a few years.
Another place to add to the list of possible holiday destinations

Better hurry then... who knows how long it'll be before UKIP reduces that opportunity to 50...

Thanks PeeJay, I am glad I could help. I remember when I first looked for it, I searched through many cigar forums and couldn't find anything. Charles Grech's website is also not of much help. I only found them by chance.

If you need exact locations of the stores, I can send you some google maps links. Just let me know.

                          Cigar shops in Malta

Yup thats right, Malta is in the EU so you are ok to buy as much as you like for your own use or gifts if you are staying in the EU.

Outside the EU the limit is 50 cigars + 100 cigarillos (though Im not sure of the sizing they would use to define a cigarillo)

A friend of mine is bringing me some as well. I called Charles Grech today and asked about Cuban specials. Sadly they don't have any at the moment. Specials that is. They do have Cubans. I will go for a box of Monte Cristo Grand Edmundo Edicion Limitada 2010. At €126 for a box of 10, that's a steal I say.

Also considering that they are 5 years old now. I already have a box of them and only dared to have two so far. But with a second box, I will be able to have one every now and then and see how they develop further over the years.
