Even with the occasional pretty major thread drift I do agree this has been a beauty. Never really fancied the Dominican Republic before now quite fancy it.

Just checked a map. Never realised it was so close to Cuba, could it have been done as a day trip from there?

We have $200 day trips from Toronto to Cuba.

Plane or boat? Mexico is even closer. Actually quite a few places round there could be worth going and after my look at the map all quite close together. A month going round the cigar factories in Cuba, Nicaragua, Dominican Republic, meet TJ for an afternoon, Honduras and any of the other cigar producing regions could be a great holiday and the main cost would be flight there and back so best all done at once
