I smoke, cigarettes and cigars. Was I considerate before slowly having places where I can smoke, taken away from me? My fianc? has a daughter so going to the 'children's play area', would I ever dream of lighting anything up? Fuck no. Have I told others to get out of the gate to get rid of their cigarette - Fuck yes.
Time & Place. Understanding & Tolerance. Being Considerate & Balanced.....
I am Bi-Polar Class II....IF I CAN FUCKING DO IT, SO CAN ANYONE.
The minority ruin it for the many, but more these days I am thinking it is the majority ruin it for the minority....Since turning 30 years of age 2 days ago I am getting my grump on

I personally don't mind if it is banned in public. I really prefer not to do it outside the privacy of my home. This is due the daft facials I pull, sucking in cheeks, rolling my tongue and generally moaning and groaning as I get the best taste. I look a complete twat.

Despite my stroll through St James's Park last week, cigar in hand, I wouldn't mind if there were a ban either, but have to agree with much of the sentiment here - it's a more general issue with low level anti-social behaviour: littering, dog mess, etc. It's a general lack of consideration for other people and the places we live, work and play. It might be second nature to us to be considerate to others (I tried to avoid other people in the park last week), but we can't assume the same of others.
I got the council to give me a litter picking stick and I now clear litter from the public area near my house. Like all councils, they're cash strapped, so rather than wait for them to do it, I thought I'd do it myself, but it shouldn't need doing at all if people took their litter home or found a bin. In the same way, we wouldn't need smoking bans if everyone were more considerate, but that's the way life is. There's a certain type of person who doesn't care if their dog fouls the pavement, who doesn't care if their McDonalds packaging ends up on the side of the road, who doesn't care if their kids breathe in smoke in the car, etc.
Just a thought about a public ban though - the trigger for my new obsession was walking down Oxford Street behind a chap smoking a good cigar. Had I not been captivated by that aroma, it might never have happened!

I do remember flying a lot when I was younger when smoking was allowed on airplanes. Thinking back, I think the smoking and no smoking zone was separated by an isle only. Depending on the length of flight, I reckon a good 40 smokes were inhaled... As second hand smoking, which is worse than smoking at times.
Anyhow, any parent that smokes in their car or even in their own home need to have a serious word said.... [emoji35]
Going to chillax now... [emoji2]

Not the end of the world, knowing the French it'll probably be widely ignored anyway.
On the subject of smoking in public, I do sometimes, but I'm pretty selective about it. Hate smoking in crowds/busy public spaces, really enjoy a smoke and a coffee after a meal.
