Careful. Some shops in Geneva only open for a half day on Saturdays. The one that moved recently used to open Saturday mornings only, not sure about now. I haven't been there since 2008.
It would be worth a couple of emails to them before travelling though.
It would be a shame to get there and find the shops closed.

Edit, just checked the website, that shop closes at 2 pm on a Saturday. Not open on a Sunday.

A friend of mine lives out there and is heading to the shop on Friday, as we are both heading to a wedding next weekend. Will ask him what the deal is when I see him.
SilentBob is quiet no more, name change to VocalBob?

So what is the name of the shop? I ski in Avoriaz and fly to Geneva so would appreciate the chance to visit.

It's fine to mention the name fella, you're allowed to visit. It's GestoCigars and they are lovely. Had some dealings with them and always been great. Was in Les Gets this summer holidaying and paragliding, went to Avoriaz just to take a look but it's like a ghost town in summer. Moraine is pretty cool, if we had no kids I'd go.
Have a blast and enjoy Geneva too, we drove in on the Evian route which was beautiful.

                        Thanks Tommy.

Avoriaz isn't the prettiest place, even when it is covered with the white stuff. I can imagine it being pretty quiet in summer, other than when they have the BMX stunt championships there etc.

Yeah it's basically a purpose built town at altitude. It's odd the way they built it to look like part of the mountain from below, that does blend it in a bit. The other odd thing is that most ski locations are at the bottom of a run which means you get one last run before drinks. In Aviriaz you have to do one last Telecabine with no return. I guess that first run in the morning makes up for it. I've actually never been skiing though, we only got introduced to it as a holiday idea in the last 3 years and silvia's been either pregnant or nursing since then. When this next one is walking confidently we may go but when they're both able to ride bikes we will definitely go skiing together. Until then walking in the mountains, biking and paragliding will have to do.

The shop is not at ground level and can easily be missed
