  • Spain - Marbella, Gibraltar and Valencia!

I'm going to the above 3 cities over christmas to visit a couple pals who are both working out there (ones a dentist the other in a business firm); wondering if anyone can point me to some good places to buy some sticks while I'm there. I know stagnetto's is supposed to be good in Gib. I was wondering how are the prices over in Spain? To get duty-free do you have to be at the airports there? Sorry if it's a stupid question, just looking to plan ahead of time which shops to have a look at while I'm out there!

Prices in Spain are Government set, http://www.cmtabacos.es/wwwcmt/pagin...doPrecios.tmpl you wont get duty free in Spain casue of the EU but does mean you can bring more back.

Gib your best bet is Stags but you can only bring 50 back into spain.

No duty free for you mate as you're within the EU. The prices at all (?) EU airports are more expensive than in the country itself. Marbs didn't have a huge amount to offer when I was last there but Gib is brilliant especially for UK REs....

Oh yeah completely forgot if you're in EU its full price, I buy a few of my cigars from France I should have known better!

Looks like I'll grab a box or two from Gib then, going to venture there for a day I reckon; maybe get the train from Marbella?

I think it's a bus. Train runs Malaga airport to Fuengirola .... then it's bus all along the Cost del Sol into Marbella and then onto Gib. But on the plus side it's regular, cheap, quick and air-coned. The Costa has a micro-climate so even Christmas will be quite comfortable. I was disappointed with Marbs and San Ped last year, so like the others have said Gib will be your best bet. Have fun, and good hunting!
If you want to, you can.

              I hired a car as I don't think there's a train service (I might be wrong)
The other option is by bus. It takes about two hours each way. If you can use other people's allowances it would be worth it for sure
