I did two weeks last year, one week on Islay, as peated whiskies are my fave, plus a week based in Pitlochry.
Absolutely awesome experience and every distillery offers something a little different on their tours.

Way too many to visit in one go, you could spend a month or more in Speyside alone.

Ahh but they did not always use whiskey they used to use whisky and then they changed to try and difference there product. So what's right the way the original or bastard

Whisky made in Scotland, whiskey made in Ireland eg Jamiesons. No, I wouldn't go to Scotland, your not an American, trying to do all of Europe in 2wks. Don:t stretch yourself too thin.

I am off to midge country myself tomorrow, spending a week fishing on the Isle of Bute. Hopefully the cool weather up there will have kept them down, have a midge hat with mesh to shoulders if necessary.

i just caught this one too...

seems like good advice to me. 2 weeks to traverse UK, Belgium, Germany, and Switzerland.... stretching too thin? mayhaps.
