One of these again, I'm off to Manchester for the evening on Friday to meet the girlfriend so I was wondering if anyone knows of a pleasant beer garden or something to that affect where I can relax for an hour or two with a nice cigar before meeting up with her.

Atlas Bar right at the end of Deansgate has a nice terrace, its about a minute's walk from The Hilton. Alternatively, turn right and walk down to Castlefield, Dukes 92 also has a large outdoor area. To my knowledge at least there aren't any dedicated cigar terraces in Manchester, but if anyone knows better.....
