Paris... WTF?

I was sitting tonight on an open air terrace and I lit up a BBF. Three puffs into it and a waiter very politely told me I want allowed to smoke a cigar in case the smell annoyed the other clients. I looked round and left, right and centre are folks puffing away on cigarettes. I was annoyed because there wasn't a sign stating cigars were banned... I'd seen a few signs earlier to that effect earlier on in my visit.... Grrr

Possibly someone had complained Steve. I've had cigarette smokers do that in the past, I don't think they realise their fag smoke smells worse than a BBF could ever do, but it would put the waiter in an awkward position, does he shrug off the majority or have a quiet word with the one .... you being a 'roast beef' made it easy for him to decide.

The Parisians have become soft, 20 years ago they would have Guillotined the bastard!

Curious addition to that, the French buy the least soap per head in Europe but the most perfume. Draw your own conclusion
