  • Calais and Beyond Oostende

Just booked a day out with the family next Thursday ?30 return P&O ferries

Dover to Calais then I normally drive on to Oostende to have a few Belgium beers in the lovely square

Pick up some to bring home along with plenty of wine and cheese from the Le Fromage shop in Calais

Simon anywhere I should take in or is there any place I can pick up some regionals ?

Or does anyone else know of some places not to miss

How about Jerrys Cigar bar in Bruges, Great City to visit like Ostend they have restaurants on the big square and some great spots on the river.

Agree with Snooeky, Ostend offers nothing unless the weather is good enough outside. Never found any decent cigar shop there either. Go to Brugge & visit Jerries Bar. Even better come over when I am at home & I'll pop down & join you, keep meaning to visit there myself!

If you have time I can whole heartedly recommend the Segway tours in Bruges. Really cool gives you a great idea of the city and it's history. Also the brewery tour is good great view from the roof. And the chocolatier shop up from jerrys has more flavours than you can imagine.
