We are trying to sort out booking our holiday in havana for the festival but not doing very well crazy flights with overnight stops flights from london not manchester.

Is anyone planning on going, anyone recommend a travel agent or airline?

Try Air France, KLM, & Virgin Atlantic (flight only} also give Best at Travel and The Holiday Place & Virgin Holidays a phone call for a package holiday.

    Good hunting

I had a German mate who came to Canada for the sake of going to Cuba. Around 800 for ticket to varedaro for 7 days. Flight, food, bed, everything.
He paid a bit extra to come to Toronto.. But he got to seee CN tower, Rob Ford, and everything else we have here

      What!? Of course I'm impartial

I'm going but flying from Miami on a Charter flight with a tour group. I know my friends from Ireland and England have flown thru Paris a few times. I would PM Ryan if he doesn't answer this thread because he goes every year.

Virgin fly out of Gatwick at least twice a week. Cubana fly out of Gatwick too but if you're a nervous flyer don't go with them.
I fly from Dublin so I normally go Dublin-Paris-Havana with Air France, usually best prices.
KLM out of Amsterdam can have good prices too.
If you're still not having luck, try this crowd

I have used him before for Hotels and he gets good rates, much better than booking direct. I got the Nacional before for about ?50/night for the room.
For the festival, try the Nacional, the Havana Libre or the Parque Central.
I stay in a Casa particular now and book direct, but for a first time I'd recommend a hotel. The Nacional is the best for the festival but might be booked out by now.

That's right, it makes it very tight to make the opening event on the Monday night, unless you fly the Thursday before.
Air France have at least one flight a day, every day, out of Paris.

Air France fly you from Manchester to Paris then on to Cuba. Usually the cheapest, but everything bar the wine selection is appalling.

No, can't bring anything back other than art, and as of yet, I don't think they appreciate the same art we do.

Personally, I think if JFK would have lived he probably would have ended the embargo before his term(s) ended as he accomplished what he wanted, getting them to agree not to arm Cuba with nukes.

Just contact your congressional representative to chuck you a bone next time they legally stock up for themselves. If your very lucky you may get one of the boxes signed by Castro that some of them received as gifts some years ago!

I read that JFK imported 12,000 cigars the day before he imposed the embargo, hypocrite or what?
