Hi,
I've looked at threads and buying from Hong Kong online seems to be way too much of a gamble but
I know someone who is spending some time there, is it worth tapping him up or is it just as much a risk.

I can't see any risk in your friend buying them and bringing them back. Just make sure its a reputable shop.

Cigars prices in Hong Kong PCC shops are no cheaper than EMS prices in the UK.

Cigars in Hong Kong is very different to cigars from Hong Kong....

I picked up a box of Ramon Allones Celestiales Finos RE when in Hong Kong last year from the La Casa in the Sheraton Hotel, they are a glorious smoke and worth picking up a box if you don't mind spending.
