Playa del ingles

Has anyone any experience of buying cigars in playa del ingles,gran canaria,going in 3 weeks and wondering if to take some with me,buy at Manchester airport or ideally buy on the island,are the local cigars any good as didn't the Canarians used to produce pretty good 'uns,

In playa del singles quite a few of the booze and tobacco shops have a cabinet humidor with 3 and 5 packs of Cubans.

As I remember it was 45 euros for a 5 pack of siglo 2, ryj no 3 tubos were about 5 euros each and Jose l piedra petit cazadores just over a euro each. Similar pricing to Spain really. The best selection was a place in the yumbo centre downstairs. This was a year ago.

Thanks,last time I was there I wasn't actively smoking so didn't take much notice but will check out the yumbo
