  • Spanish Regionals

    Afternoon chaps.

Ill be off to Palma de Mallorca next week for 2 days on work and I was wondering what people's thoughts on the Spanish regionals are. I'm planning to choose 1 or 2 and try and pick up 1 box of each for smoking and 1 box just to add to the collection.

Also, I know habanos do special packages for the Spanish market such as edmundos in travel humidors etc. has anybody seen anything like this? I'd be interested to know what's available before I go out there so I can go with adequate funding.

    Cheers!

    Try the
Dippy Privada Colleccion (might not be spelled correctly) in 10s
    VR Maestros in 10s
Ramone Allones (As I type, I can't remember what they are, big buggers though. It'll be on the net) Don't know what they come in.
Punch Gran Robusto, not sure what they come in.
    All good IME.

And I'm sure other members will chip in
    "Go you good things...geddem int'ya"

Click on "Tobacco Authorised Price" at the bottom left.
Next page, click "Mainland and Balearic Islands" from the dropdown
        Then "Cigars" from that dropdown.
        Then the "Consultar Precios" button.
It's alphabetic, Partagas you'll find under "Flor de T. Partagas".
I talked to a guy in Jerez last week, the Diplomaticos RE were not out yet then.

iPad case? How does that work? Or is it just montecristo branded with no cigars?

Thanks for the link. There's two prices. Any idea what each are?

Will defo try the regionals recommended. Anybody tried any of them? Any thoughts?

Hey Ethem... The cheaper price is what you'll pay in Tabacs. The more expensive would be in hotels, casinos etc

The Monte case is a weird Neoprene thing with 25 #4s inside. Kinda odd.

There's two other Monte 4 special humidors worth looking for. One is a metal attache case with 25 inside, the other a double-layered travel humidor which is very nice indeed with 25 inside. All 3 are around the ?150 mark which is pretty much what you'd pay for a dress box anyway

I've enjoyed all the Spanish REs especially the SP Quijote and the Boli 108.

            Have a great time

Lovely, cheers for that. Well, I'm going to spend the two days by the pool (tough job) so ill try and stock up on all the RE's on Wednesday night, try them through to Thursday and pick up the favourites on Friday before heading home. ?150 is impressive for 25 no.4's let alone with the cases. Really looking forward to going nuts and buying all that I see lol

I just came back from 2 weeks on the Costa Del Sol, couldn't find the new Dip RE anywhere and I visited a lot of estancos. Saw some boxes of the PL Legendarios which is an outstanding smoke but I've already got a box and was holding out for the Dip RE.

Hey Slig...I think the seller was pitching that as an iPad case but Habanos certainly weren't lol

The bit where the iPad is sitting in that picture is a cedar lined humi

Here's a pic or two of mine

I bought it last summer in Marbella for about ?160 or so...much the same price as a regular dress box of 25.

I was in Barcelona in April and there were still a few of all 3 types knocking about so there's still a good chance of finding one

The Spanish seem to get some very nice humidors too. In Marbs I found a RyJ Tubos #3 humidor which contains five cedar trays of ten tubos which was basically free if you bought all 50 of the Tubos which at Spanish prices works out at about ?280 iirc. There's also D4 humidors of 50 too. Tbh, the Spanish seem to get some lovely incentive items. Not surprising as they're a huge CC importer

Hi Ethem; head to the Tabac on Paseo Born in the City; pretty sure they had all those CJ mentions. The Maestro' s definitely worth sampling

But be warned, they're not too accommodating about letting you see around the humidor, which I've never experienced before, so have a clear idea what you're looking for. Have a great time in Palma.....nice City

Cheers Dave. Will definitely head in to there as its round the corner from where I'm staying. Read something about it from the link posted above. That's a shame they don't like browsing. That's my favourite part of cigar shopping. Even when I know what I want I still end up spending 30 minutes in humidors.
