Berlin

Hi There,

I will be visiting Berlin at the end of June and was wondering whether anyone knew of any good cigar shops out there and if it would be worth saving up a bit of money to buy a few boxes while I was out there - are the prices significantly lower?

If the prices aren't that much different it probably wouldn't be worth the hassle of squeezing them into of trying to fit them in the hand luggage for the Ryanair flight home!!

Any advice would be gratefully received!!

There are some excellent cigar shops and lounges in Berlin. The LCdH is well worth the visit, although there are plenty of smaller shops and all sorts of surprises and older stuff can be unearthed. But Germany isn't like the UK, for example you wouldn't expect to find UK Regionals on sale at a kiosk at Liverpool Station, but in Berlin you will.

Watch the hand luggage, too much and the Budget Airlines will want it stowed as baggage .... and that costs!

Thanks for the responses, yeah, hand luggage might well be a problem, I am going with my wife though so hopefully between us we'll be able to squeeze sone on!

I did used to live in Berlin but that was almost 10 years ago now (although it certainly doesn't seem that!), unfortunately I wasn't into cigars then so never took advantage of the opportunities!

Herzog am Hafen in East Berlin is a great place with a cracking lounge and an outdoor seating area. Great view too!!
