  • Easter in Devon

Does anyone know of some good places in and around Exeter for cigars/COSA's? We've rented a cottage about 6 miles out of Exeter for the Easter weekend but I haven't been since I was a kid.

Ill take a couple 898s, monte 4s, some open eagles, and see how the weekend pans out.

No but I can tell you about the geomorphology of Dartmoor and the Devonian limestone in exmouth
Give me ambiguity or give me something else.

Now there's an offer. Perhaps there is a 'man cave' in that lot somewhere

In Exeter itself you've got McGahey, but I've never been there. It has a decent website if you want to have a peek. Perhaps give them a ring re COSAs?

My trip to McGahey's (under the impression that it had a small sampling room) resulted in sitting out on the street with a coffee from their coffee hatch. It's on pretty much the main drag through town. As it happens, this was a lovely afternoon, as the sun was out (therefore the ladies were in summer dresses) and my friend and I just had one of those great (if all too rare) relaxing summer afternoons with a cigar. Not sure such a plan is viable given current conditions... Afraid I can't really offer anything else to the discussion though.

Funny this should be posted now - just back from sunny(!) Devon myself. I too struggled to stay warm enough to enjoy a smoke, but for the convenience of other users, Creber's old fashioned grocery shop in lovely Tavistock has a reasonable selection of Havanas in a small counter-top humi. Good knowledge to file away in a dusty compartment in one's addled brain for future use...
