Imho, you can't beat smokin' Havana's in Havana!!..Ok, so you can only bring 50 back, but doesn't stop you smoking the other 50 while you're there . Why not look at somewhere like Jibacoa; that way you're only a 45 minute journey from the Partagas Factory/Hotel Nacional etc. and you both get what you're looking for?

Given the state of the Euro, you'll save a little but not a massive amount (depending on what you buy). I wasn't too impressed by prices in Palma, but found good deals on Party Shorts and the RG Perla's (about ?2 each).

It was something I wanted to do, going to a factory. But we went to Guadalavaca and not aware if theres a factory in this part. I mention to my partner, why not acouple of nights in Havana and finish off 12 nights somewhere else on the island.
Cant do this type of booking online, so my nip into a travel agents.

Look into Cuba direct. We went with them, you choose the package then change anything.g you like. Even down to 1 night in a great hotel and the rest somewhere else. They are very flexible. Look at visiting the city of Trinidad

Another vote for Jibacoa. Breezes has a dive school and a "reef" about waist deep from the beach.
