    Hi guys,

I know this has been posted before but my girlfriend is passing through geneva airport in a couple of weeks and I've asked her to get me some cigars.

Anyone been there recently? What are the prices like? I'd like her to get me some cohiba 1966 if they have them if the prices are cheaper than here

I haven't been but have looked in to visiting and from what I've learnt prices are definitely cheaper than here but a few chaps have mentioned shops such as gesto that are cheaper than the airport. It's definitely one of the better places in Europe to get cigars price-wise.

I was in geneva airport end of jan. was in a rush so not a great chance to dig around. Some reasonable stock there and typical EU prices. I picked up 12 Reyes for circa ?85

Gesto is supposed to have some good stuff stashed away in the humi that they don't advertise. I would love the chance to go for an afternoon having a look

Agree - having just come from Gesto earlier in the day (this was 2 weeks ago) I was comparing prices while waiting for the flight. A woman who works there came in to ask about my purchases and started opening all these boxes to talk about cigars and I nearly missed my flight...

You could do it. Get the train from the airport into Cornavin train station, Geneva's main station. It takes 7 minutes and runs every 15. Much faster and cheaper than a taxi.
From Cornavin Train station, walk downhill towards the river, Gesto is just across the river on Rue du March?, hard to spot but look it up. It's about a 15 minute walk from the train station. If you have three hours, it's worth a visit. Call ahead if you like, to arrange a meeting with them to save time. Joann there speaks fluent english.

.... and look up .... the walk-in is on the first floor. But, I'd just tap them into Google and get a map. Shouldn't get lost then. Have fun!
If you want to, you can.
And, if you can, you must!
