  • Amsterdam (again)

    Hi all,

Does anyone know about cigar prices at Amsterdam airport (Schiphol)...I've searched on here and no previous answers have been specific!

I imagine their tax is similar to ours. I'm going out Sunday - Tuesday for business.

About 2/3rds of uk prices usually, although I think I got a box of quinteros for under 50 quid. I recommend the Juan Lopez no 3 regional if they have it.

Think that might be a Benelux release.

This is the latest (and only?) RE for Netherlands:

I have found the duty free bad at Schipol as a lot of the sticks are only available for flights outside Europe. If you can get to a cigar shop in town you will be much better off.

I have been through there several times recently and bought nothing.

I'm off to Amsterdam in a few weeks and his thread made me have a look about...

Looks like one option. Prices on some look good.
Anyone have any experience of the BENELUX RE's?

I like the look of the Boli Fabulosos and the RA Gran Robusto

Not to wet, just no interesting sticks in Schipol, and many for flights outside Europe only.

LCDH should be a different thing altogether.

Aye Dean. That's the only Dutch exclusive....rhe ERdM. You should be able to get the BeNeLux JL3 and other REs too though

Cool nice one guys. No time for the LCDH so I'm guessing I won't pick anything up this time round.

Yes the fabulosos is fabulous! Excuse the pun. Really enjoyed it and have another one in the humi. Have got a couple of Gran Robustos but havent tried them yet. I recommend the JL3 which to my mind was the best of the regionals I tried there. Also loved the Fonseca no.4(?) which was much more interesting than a standard fonseca.

I also managed to pick up some Punch royal selections which were absolutely phenomenal, but that was in the davidoff shop in town.
