Help/Info needed...

I have some friends traveling this week, as they don't smoke i have their allocation for cigars.

I've read on here that Larnaca LCDH is quite cheap and has a good selection. Anyone have any recent experience here??
As my mate is here on a tight business schedule i don't think he'll have time to go hunting for Pacific Cigar outlets for me, so it's looking like it is going to have to be HK airport duty free. As much as i can find out HK is expensive for cigars, are they still worth buying there?? anyone traveled there recently??

Also are there any RE or good buys to be had ???

I've not sampled many, but there are quite a few regionals to be had in HK if you can find them, here are a few off the top of my head....

Ramon Allones - Estupendos, Celestiales Finos...
Bolivar - Short Bolivar
Por Larranaga - Encantos, Robusto, Belicoso Extra...
Saint Luis Rey - Pacificos
Juan Lopez - Sel no4
Punch - Super Robusto, Sabrosos

I'd go for any i could get, but favour towards the Por Larranaga R.E's, behind them it would be the Ramon Allones and Juan Lopez which are cracking smokes...

I believe prices in HK are very high, then even if you find these Regional Editions they will cost you an arm, in comparison to prices of regular stuff at Larnaca.

If I were you, I'd call the LCDH to check if they have my favorites, and I would book my boxes.

have just got back through Hong Kong airport, did not have much time , but the only place I looked at that sold Cuban cigars had a limited selection and the prices were very high, as I've said , didn't have much time
