  • Dubai.

I'm having a bit of a Blonde moment and even though i've been to DBX airport dozens of times my memory escapes me.

I'm traveling from UK to Dubai and then from Dubai to Abu Dhabi by Taxi , do I get access to Dubai Duty Free on arrival? I seem to remember that I do because I bought some cigars last time, but I can't visualise it.

    Jog my memory please.

Passed through Dubai 10 days ago. Didn't see any shops that sold cigars, but then I was in a rush to get to Term2 to connect to Afghan. Will have to have a look when I go back through in Oct

Yo. It's been covered a few times on here. There are two huge humidors in the airport duty free, one at each of the terminal if I remember correctly. A lot of stock, good-ish prices, the odd old box too. Ensure you have time!

If you are going to Abu Dhabi you need to check out the LCDH in 'The Mall of Abu Dhabi'. It is chocka with great stock, loads of aged and great prices. Not much atmosphere but you can smoke there as well.

Have you considered re-mortgaging your house? Then you could afford those Grand Reservas and Behikes! Clearly the best option IMO...

NB. All financial advice given by Crusse on this forum is taken at the reader's own risk and will almost certainly result in bankruptcy, homelessness and being condemned to smoke Hamlets for the next 20 years.

If by 'handling your investments' you mean that you'll send me all your money to look after then sure, no problem

Crusse happily plans his new life abroad with a huge collection of vintage cigars.

Ahhhh but what you have failed to take into account is that I have no monies

Yeti wonders, how on Earth he can get Crusse to accept his dept instead, maybe disguise it as a box of Siglo Vi's but with a spring inside.

Well that plan didn't work out...who wants to buy some very expensive Cohibas in a lovely glass-top box?

On a more serious note, I hope you have fun in Dubai Yeti, preferably without breaking the bank!

x2 on the aged stock at Dubai Duty Free. A mate recently picked me up an '04 box of ERDM Choix Supreme from DBX. Price was exactly the same as the fresh boxes. Take your time browsing and ask the staff if there is something in particular you are looking for. They are pretty helpful. The middle east seems to be a great place to buy cigars. A family member just grabbed me an '04 (again) box of the now discontinued Boli CE from Mustcat duty free. Same as Dubai, there was no additional premium for the aging
