Just back after a week on Malta - and now with a stupid cold, so didn't get to go to the champagne/cigar lounge in St Julians because of a sore throat.
No cigars on entry to Malta, but a few Montes/Partagas on the exit - boxes all looked ropey and the prices weren't much cheaper than the UK. They did have a lot of Oliva/My Father/Te Amo cigars though - at below UK costs but not amazingly so.
I found a couple of cigar sellers in the Valetta lanes - one selling a few ropey Cubans and the other selling much better ones and a bunch of non-Cubans - I picked up a couple of large Oliva G series Figurados for roughly 7Euro each. Good smokes for the price.
Basically Malta isn't a cigar hunters paradise!
