Are there any splits being considered...?

wouldn't think so SOW....... they only come in boxes of 10!!! i've 15 sticks in my humi and upon hearing this, getting some more in has become priority no. 1 for me!!! they are fantastic smokes, rich & strong!!! have you tried any yet? singles can be picked up in the usual places, for a reasonable price:

Did I read somewhere that it was advantageous to try to pick up certain years vs some of the more recent stock?

the gold medal is definitely one to try before committing to a box!!! the first one i tried knocked me sideways it was so strong!!!! a good meal is advised beforehand and plenty of drink to go along with it (as well as the precautionary can of 'full fat' coke on standby, just incase one gets that woozy feeling)!!! needless to say, it's now one of my favourite cubans!!!

i bought a box off lee nub (a past forum member) and a few singles off andy (amcc), both from '07 boxes!!! i also bought a box myself ('07) and have smoked a few from it!!! from what i can remember, they were a 2007, la casa only, release!! i believe they went into regular production and remember someone saying that the '08 boxes were supposed to be even better!!! it's an absolute pity that these are being discontinued!!! i wonder what halfwit at habanos sa decided to ax them?

Cheers for all the advice. Seems it is wise to try before you buy! One for the wish-list!

Has it actually been confirmed that Habanos are deleting these? Last I read was that there are no deletions for this year... could be wrong though, it's certainly been known to happen!

When I looked at that very page only 3 or 4 days ago there were no deletions listed. Seems odd to delete a cigar that they only relatively recently reintroduced... (now get Jonathon Woss to say that last statement!!! )

I have come to the opinion that the people at Habanos SA are a bunch of complete morons, and generally decide the deletions by drawing names out of a hat... So many good cigars gone in recent years, so many of which I had yet to try...
