I have no idea what they use to varnish the box I just know that the unvarnished is out of production and the two are different vitolas.
"In Italy for 30 years under the Borgias they had warfare, terror, murder and bloodshed, but they produced Michelangelo, Leonardo da Vinci, and the Renaissance. In Switzerland they had brotherly love, they had 500 years of democracy and peace, and what did that produce? The cuckoo clock!"

Sooooo, its the BOX thats Varnished, not the cigar, not immediately obvious unless you look really close, and 2 Vitola's with the same designation, apart from the box being varnished is not enough of a giveaway for me.

Us old inky fingers may know loads of shit but not generally blessed with intelligence, otherwise we would have gotten better jobs.

Puff, you've just made me realise that Joao's initials are the same as Jose L Piedra. I can understand calling yourself 'CohibaIV' but why on earth would anyone name themselves after Jose L Piedras? You're selling yourself short Joao buddy.
If you want a midget to look like a baby, don't put a cigar in his mouth.

Another piss taker, lol, I happen to like JL Piedra's and chinchalero's, mind I did spend my working life inhaling a mixture of MEK and Printing ink

I have an as yet un-started box of the unvarnished. It was the last box a foreign shop had and I grabbed it very cheaply. There are two or three damaged sticks in it but otherwise it is keeping nicely. I will have to burn the damaged sticks at some point but I am useless at starting a full box in the fear I finish the lot.
