The never-ending debate continues...

With substantial time on my hands to just enjoy a cigar without interruption (usually), I have taken to incinerating some of my CC stockpile along with my usual NC smokes. I have found that, in general, the CC's are better than the NC's.

Having said that, however, I must now qualify that statement with the obvious fact that there are just sooooo many more NC's that the law of averages states that one is bound to come across a dogrocket more frequently than one does within the CC community, thus lowering the above-mentioned reference to "in general."

Specifically, I have found many, many NC's which rival CC's for excellence, particularly when one factors into the equation price. I mourn for our BOTL, Big T, who has yet to find an NC which pleases his palate as much as his beloved CC's; however I cannot help but think that mayhap his opinions are tainted by a preconceived predisposition towards the ISOM offerings. I canot help but wonder if a blind taste test might reveal less of a discrepancy.

Howsoever, it mattereth not, really. The question of which is the superior manufacture is irrelevant. The only true issue is what pleases thine own palate.

Makes a lot of sense to me anyway. I can think of a few BOTL that could benefit from this kind of tollerance and understanding.

I love a number of fine NCs but lean towards CCs because of ease of sourcing in the UK and what I consider to be a wider complexity of tastes in Cuban cigars. T mentions not liking cigars that you can breathe through in the draw and I love the resistance a CC gives you in the tug. For me that fight with your smoke is a large part of the pleasure I get from a good Havana cigar.
