Yup, matches the advice I heard is use the jar but not the in-jar humidifier.

I checked mine earlier and the smell was of amonia. So strong - looks like it will be a while before o can try them :-(

My step dad used the puck humi in an lgc jar. Made the ends of the cigar almost soggy. He saved them just in time

Done exactly the same thing, awful. Taken 4/5 affected cigars out to dry in the main humidor. What a pain.

I know - it's a lesson you learn pretty quickly!

I've had the jar in my large Gerard humidor for a few days now and the aroma when I opened it to take a peek yesterday was just great. Very intense & pungent. It bodes very well for them improving I reckon.
