This cigar gets very little mention, maybe it?s because it has a girls name or because it?s cheap or perhapts because it?s size is a little too close to a purito or mini, or what Cat calls anorexic cigars. (For Newbees I?ve deliberately photographed the Punch beside a Monte and Cohiba mini for scale). I?ve also deliberately included the weight. Reason: A Robusto weighs average 10.8gr and smokes app. 50+ mins.
Appearance: Slim and firmly rolled with a slightly rustic, milk chocolate coloured wrapper which is both pleasing to the eye and hand. If this cigar was an athlete she?d be a middle distance runner, slim, lithe and as tight-packed as a drum.
Construction: Totally, totally flawless: This little cigar smokes as it starts. Straight even burn with an effortless draw delivering volumes of aromatic, creamy smoke. The ash stayed compact and firm needing only three tap-offs throughout the smoke. No re-lights, no corrections.
Flavour: It?s a showcase. Every signature flavour of every Punch must be in this little stick. The start is zingy, lemon sherbert and irrespective of whatever other flavours take-over that citric freshness is almost woven into the fabric and will return in lessening strength throughout the smoke ? it?s fantastic. As the smoke progresses the flavour becomes less floral and more honeyed untill around the second third delicate teas take over. There is some light pepper in the taste but as an undernote, never overpowering and always delicious. In the final third the teas are replaced by woods, which at first mellow gather strength and complexity to become richer and earthier, untill unbelievably the sherbetiness reasserts itself, only now darker and deeper in flavour. As you can see from the final photo I took this little lady right to the line.
Overall: A fabulous Cuban. Best of all in it?s size range. Best flavour, best construction, best value for money. Absolutely perfect for a morning or lunch-time smoke or for those times in the evening when time or the weather is against you. Total shame Habanos decided to discontinue these last year ? I?d recommend the Margo?s to anyone!

I'm on the hunt already, I love smaller cigars (and haven't got any at the moment).
