So these were gifted to me, I’m a semi fan of Italian Cigars tend not to get them over here as what is typically a five to six euro pack of cigars runs about £24.99 over here.
So as a gift they are appreciated these particular one are made with 100% cure fired Kentucky seed tobacco from Italy and have also been infused (not flavoured) with the white wine Soave.
On the pre light and box smell you are met with a very
fragrant vanilla fruit dry wine aroma mixed with a Smokey hickory smell very interesting and appetising if I do say so myself.
the dry draw reveals much the same with dry wine sweetness Smokey hickory and just a hint of spice and coco, really quite a lot going on for such a small stick.
so the lighting and smoking, the smoke is slightly floral and mellow with that hickory smoke and a slight spice that hits the back of the palate.
id caution anyone to avoid smoking this one fast to do so would cause the typical issues with smoking a smaller cigar it well get hot and bitter although not bad and certainly nothing like a cafe crème or similar cheap and nasty stick.
however a leisurely 20-30 min on this little beaut is well worth it, as it remains wonderfully sweet mellow with that Smokey spice on the back palate with the spice and Smokiness becoming stronger as you smoke down however the wine infusion remains constantly giving those fruity floral notes. Leaving an interesting taste on the palate which is helped and thoroughly pleasant when accompanied by a Smokey whisky in this case Johnny Walker Green though I suspect Black would have worked nicely with this as well.
overall actually a pleasant cigar tiny as it maybe that offers more that what it should considering it’s price point outside of the UK. Would I buy this considering the UK price point actually as I don’t smoke daily and this was up my street I would. There are are a few others like the Rosso (coffee) or a buttery one that sound like they would be worth trying as well at some point
