Cuaba Tradicionales

I've loved the Cuaba Divinos since I first saw it. Since then the perfecto has become one of my favourite vitolas. But what about the Tradicionales? The bigger cousin of the Divinos. Is bigger better? What is your favourite Cuaba vitola?

I think this particular one was a Friday afternoon special 😢 Had I been in a B&M I would have chosen a different stick as the head felt so tightly packed. Don't be afraid to cut heavy if they feel too firm 👍🏻💨

You have a perfecdraw? That's always my go-to before a deeper cut. It's not a silver bullet, but will do the job most times.

I just hope there's not too many plugged in the box. Ye cannae check em all, after all...

I find the blocked cigars tend to be plugged at the top of the cigar so while I use the PD it doesn't always pull out the knots and stems until you have half-decimated your cigar, so I think in future if a couple of screws doesn't solve the issue then I might just cut an inch off the head and be done with it, esp if it is a non premium cigar, I had a mighty tussle with a La Invicta the other day, should have just chopped his head off from the start, would have saved me ten minutes of mess and hassle.

I've had a couple of cigars like that this year. I don't have a PD, but find a cigar dagger or my fingernails are usually sufficient

That's some amount of stems. QC is shocking with CCs some of them time. That should never have happened

I was surprised this needed to come out before it was smokeable! Very firm draw indeed on this batch. But only this one actually needed butchering.

I too love the Divinos, had a few tight ones but it helps if you dry box or just keep them 62o. It's a really small cigar to be thrusting a PD up it, cutting again has been enough for me. Originally they were totally hand made but far too many were unsmokable so they use moulds now. Larger vitolas in this marca, have similar taste profile but all are good IMHO, if you enjoy that profile

Divinos for morning coffee, MRN calls it an Eye opener! For a long afternoon the Salomones or even the Diademas are grand smokes but with little variation or development.
