My Birthday today so during a dry spell sat in the Garden with a glass of Johnnie Walker Green Label and Conquistador Churchill cigar. A budget Churchill that on the pre-light has a tangy sweet smell, the dry draw hay tangy sweetness so im hoping the sweet notes come through on the light. FYI as Im drinking green label which is sweeter and less smokey than black label I'm expecting the cigar to bring forth the smokiness in the whisky.
So on the light, a sweet tangy creamy smooth smoke very nice for a cigar of its price thats good going, and as I get into the first third, oooh a sweet nuttiness becomes the dominant flavour with just a dash of a sweet late flavour just a dash and a surprise as honestly i was expecting a 1 dimensional cigar so its already defeating expectations and as I sip on my Green Label yes its complimenting the sweetness of the cigar but also drawing out the smokiness of the whisky changing the flavour dynamic I get from Green Label usually so a nice experience overall.
The Sweet Nuttiness remains throughout and as I get into the final the coffee late flavour becomes a bit more pronounced but never harsh and remains this way for the remainder. Overall for around £10 a stick its not bad at all and good hour and half smoke. 242388505_1190784398108874_3479740581384193122_n.jpg242173460_1058861514855518_7808379186567715327_n.jpg242164644_3207172402936393_3361766573691147486_n.jpg242262213_544736356616322_4885744033253819162_n.jpg
