Ok guys, go easy its my first review!
So, the website I bought it from describes the Corona Junior as:
"This cigar is creamy with hints of coffee and some nutty flavour as well. This small havana promises to have a good future. Attractive, good draw, thick smoke with complex flavors for such a small cigar. Purely excellent."
On lighting, it was very harsh...no hint of creamy at all and I interpreted the promised nutty flavour to be just plain bitter! Few puffs later and I'm thinking I'm not going to finish this!
3/4 of the way through and its started to change. The bitterness subsided and mellow flavours started to develop and a nice lip tingle.
Disappointingly, the wrapper came off with about a 1/4 to go. The burn was uneven all the way and it rippled around the top, maybe a sign of poor construction??? Hell I dont know, I'm new to this!
In conclusion, a cigar of 2 halves. Nice draw, but with uneven burn. Bitter going into mild. No sweetness as others have indicated on cgars reviews. Overall, disappointed with a well known name
I've another Upmann in the box, but a Corona Minor.....hope that's going to turn out better.
Is the deconstruction to do with my cutting? Are longer cigars better because you get more of the good bit? Any thoughts?
