Well.. ive done it, i smoked the giant cigar that was gifted to me by Isaac.. aka eyesack and thank you very much for the experience..
I started this cigar by punching the end as i havent got a 66RG cutter and my normal disposables are all pretty blunt now.
This took some puff to light due to the fact it was soooooo long and soooo thick... In essence to smoke this stick you need a rather large orifice to say the very least...
I was expecting a very long smoke and was more than surprised that it only took 2 hours and 10 mins from start to finish.
This is a nice mild cigar, i think it has a Connecticut style wrapper and seems to be very loosely rolled so it burned easily once it was going.. The burn itself was particularly strange as it would burn fairly even, then uneven then seem to even itself out again. This cigar did neither make me feel overwhelmed at any time not give off any bitter tastes.
A very fruity cigar from start to finish, i cant see any differences between thirds, eighths or anything else.
Flavour for this cigar was consistent, it was plainly simple and fruity, i sensed no earthiness about it, no memories and no surprised flavours.
Were it not for its size i would suggest it to be a nice morning smoke to start your day.. Mind you saying that you would clearly have to get up early if you smoked it as a start to your day.
Pretty much free of any veins, or uneven lumps, the whole experience was consistent from start to finish. Smoked on an empty stomach with the exception of a cup of earl grey tea, which oddly enough was a good compliment to this cigar. The ash was nice and clean and white, although it didnt hold for long and would come off after just a couple of inches.
Its not one that i would smoke on a regular basis as im sure in 'real life' i wouldnt really have the time. However it was well worth the experience. If you like mild cigars, im sure that this would be a good smoke for you, i guess the Flor de Oliva range must be similar as ive looked it up and they come in a range of sizes, the Giant being the biggest.
I was certainly not disappointed but i was ready for at least a 4 hour smoke..
Apologies to mike who i just realised is in one of my pics as i was chatting to him on skype at the time i was smoking this stick.. makes a beautiful stick look even nicer due to his ugly mug in the background haha
