In a time where hype is king in the cigar world and limeted edition jawbreakers are taking over i bring you the review of a less common cigar. The RDL is a Minutos in size and smoked for a good 40 minutes before i tossed it. It is June 08 and upon firing this bad boy up you notice notes of spice and citrus. They are clear and rather pleasing to retro-hale. This cigar is a little stronger than the tubos 1-3 and not the most complex but has great aging potential. The second third does not change much until the latter part where the spice and orange fade and earth and a touch of cinnamon pick up carrying this stick to the end. I bought this cigar because Don Andres said it had good strength and he was right. A smoker like me move on from lighter Ryjs a long time ago but this stick is one most anyone can enjoy. I recommend buying a box to put away for 4 to 5 years when these will be a true pleasure. They come at a great price too. No fancy bands, no medio tempo leaves or holograms, just a good Cuban cigar thats a step above Quintero and most NCs i have had when it comes to complexity. Its not on the level a Bolivar PC is but its a good smoke no less. Thanks Don for the recommendation.

Good 'heads up' J. I've often looked at the Regalia de Londres but have always been a bit put of by the price. Not because I thought it too dear, but the reverse, because it's cheaper than the PC, Mille Fleur and Princess I imagined it might be a bit 'second rate'. But now, I reckon on giving it a try!

If you consider that the Cedro line of R&J have such a different taste profile, its safe to say the RdL is one of the absolute stars of the smaller R&J set.

Thanks for a nice review there J Cano.

Much like tippexx, they are cigars I have looked at, but never bought. Now that I've got some idea that they are more than acceptable smokes I may try and pick some up. Cheers.

They are a good smoke when you want to wind down the evening with a little more than a "yard gar" but you dont have time for a robusto or a more costly treat. Putting a little time on these will surely pay off as well.I like to have sticks like this to give to friends on special occasion also.
