Nothing I have ever said to anyone else I haven't said both in public on previous threads and in pm's with you Mike.

My concerns are legitimate and said for good reason with the best intentions and no personal agenda, if it coming across that way it is not my intention and I apologise for any misunderstanding.

I appreciate people sticking up for their friends but don't appreciate some of the personal comments, still your right to behave that way if you wish.

I for one would be very, very sorry if this forum suddenly dissapeared and the owners/mods faced the nightmare from the very real threat of an investigation from UK Customs and Excise for aiding and abetting tax evasion (amongst other possible criminal charges the UK's officious and very active Customs and Excise could bring) due to the actions of other forum members.

The sad reality in the UK is that there is a significant tobacco smuggling problem and there is a strong financial motivation to increase prosecution rates on anything perceived as potential tax evasion. It is anticipated that there will be a 30-50% increase in such investigations in the next 24 months (primarily in an effort to generate revenue not a nice motive for law enforcement but's that's the reality)

The consequence's from such action could impact their lives in a very negative way: including having ones door kicked down at 5am, your house searched, your computers seized, your bank accounts frozen, your personal and professional finances scrutinised and years of uncertainty waiting for a trial, or not. In extreme I am aware of cases that have led to redundancy, divorce, depression and ultimately suicide. I make these comments not to sensationalise but to share professional experience of not dissimilar matters.

I have always believed that you have to speak up if someone is facing a significant risk and I know that pretty much everyone I have met on here are good people and can appreciate my sentiment. If others take my legitimate concerns aa being whining, bitchy, sensationalist or misinformed that is your choice but those who know me know that is not the case.

Anyway this is the last post or comment I will make on the subject as I don't feel there is anything more for me to say.

Sorry, but Monkey's/Paul's comments have my backing, though in this case it's just the name of a cigar and I think we can let it go.

Any hint or mention of buying duty-free/tax evaded cigars will be deleted and the person warned or even banned.
