Well today i had the pleasure of recieving one, yes unfortunatley just one of these Liga Privada Maduro Torps off none other than our very own G-Man.

Apart from discussions with Mike about this cigar its new to me and so i thought some of you may like a short review Eggie style to see if this would tantlise your taste buds as it has done mine.

Im first to admit that some maduro type smokes are to strong for me, but the more of them i smoke (maduros) the more im begining to change my pallette!

I snipped off the end using a twin blade cutter and the cut was even and clean, the outer leaf neither cracked nor showed any signs it had been decapitated. The insides from viewing both ends looked tightly rolled and i wondered if maybe it was to tight. How wrong i was, i lit this little beauty with my triple flame lighter by rolling gently at the end of the flames trying not to scortch it. I was suprised at how soon it was glowing and i took my first gentle draw of this cigar. The draw was easy not tight or loose.

This immediatly reached my taste buds,, i thought for a moment this will be to strong for me, however yet again i was wrong. Quite a strong taste filled my mouth with a strong white smoke, not grey but almost cloudlike and white.

Smooth and creamy and rich it started off quite sweet and delicate as i began to draw back on this gar i began to sense some spicyness and an unusual earthy flavo(u)r like augtum (fall) leaves as i moved down the cigar it was increasing in taste tantalising my taste buds, this is one of the smokiest cigars id had in a while, the smoke quickly filling the living room.

The ash wasnt grey like most cigars but was almost a dull white (need to use persil) the richness and creamy smooth taste remained throughout the cigar to the very end. I dont like to waste a good cigar so i smoked this till i could feel the heat near my fingers before putting it down to eventually go out.

unlike a lot of cigars ive smoked (and ive smoked alot) the flavours simply got better, by the end of the first 3rd i was tasting a mixture of spice, there was a hint of nuttyness but only a hint, i had to keep stopping to take gentle draws to make sure i was tasting it properly, holding the smoke for perhaps 2 to 3 seconds in the back of my mouth and exhaling through nose and mouth. Definately a tiny hint of nut, no doubt about it.

As i got to the 2nd 3rd i sensed a bit of chocolate which over powered the nuttiyness and introduced an awsome augtumn flavour stronger than the earlier leaf maybe a little like mushroom mold. Still all the time this remained rich and creamy.

I took a stroll the 10 foot across my living room, popped my gaze across my two almost full desktop humis just incase i missed a 2nd one, alas i only had the one. (grateful for this gift) i closed the lids and was duty to bound to take even more care smoking this fantastic stogie.

There was a hint of pepper, but im not sure if this was the cigar or if it was because id just had jacket potoaes for tea with a nice cream cheese and black pepper and maybe there was still a hint of pepper on my palatte from my evening meal, despite a couple of glasses of famous grouse scotch on ice.

I was now entering the last 3rd of this wonderful cigar where all the previously mentioned flavours seemed to amass together giving it that little extra kick.

I think if i hadnt just eaten, this would have been too strong for me but i thoroughly enjoyed it, so much so, that when i put it down there was about 1cm left of the butt end. This cigar smoked evenly from start to finish, did not need relighting at all and took best part of an hour and 10 minutes to smoke.

I dont know how much this stick retails at but i will certainly put this on my list of recommended cigars. Not one for a beginner unless your daring, truly a magnificent cigar.

    Normally i wouldnt give cigars a numbered rating as ive not reviewed in that style before, but in addition to Eggie style i would say;

    Flavours 9/10
    Consistency 10/10
    Burn factor 10/10
Ash qaulity 8/10 dropped off at the halfway point.
    smoothness 10/10
    creamyness 10/10
Strength 9/10 as im sure there are stronger sticks to try.

Over all and in my opinion satisfaction 10/10

Go on be a devil and get some...

I like this review--it has something of a plot, and I feel like I took a journey rather than merely got a description. Great work!
