Construction:- 5/5
Nice solid construction, good clean cut appearance and no problems of a loose wrapper anywhere.
Draw:- 3/5
The draw on this beast, had me feeling like I was trying to suck a golf ball through a garden hose lol, the tobacco was packed right to the rafters, but perhaps a bit too tightly for my liking.
Aroma:- 4/5
There was definitely the nice relaxing aroma of the maduro wrapper in this stogie as well as a nice aroma of cedar, but there was another scent in the aroma that I couldn't quite catch what it was, which addeda slightly strange character to the overall aroma of the cigar, but it was still an enjoyable aroma to experience.
Ash:- 5/5
The ash was pretty solid and stayed on the stogie upto 1/2 an inch, when I had kept gently removing the ash into the ashtray, which was purely down to being a bit forgetful about letting the ash drop off on it's own, (I goofed) but this didn't take anything away from the flavour.
Burn:- 18/20
The burn on this beast was slightly uneven, but that wasn't worth worrying about.
Taste:- 50/60
There is that classic smooth maduro taste, along with a slightly sweet and yet spicy flavour with a slightly creamy taste of cedar, which is definitely enjoyable, BUT!!!... the lack of draw from this cigar restricted a good portion of the enjoyment of the cigar's flavours, which does reduce the overall enjoyment.
Overall:- 85/100
A good solidly packed cigar with a nice aroma and pleasant flavours, but I'll be sure to get a steel kebab skewer and ram it right through before lighting up, to try and make sure there is a looser draw.
