So I was driving on the way back from a customers on Monday and see a sign "hand rolled cigars" so of course I pull over.
Walk in, they have a small lounge and a cabinet full of their own cigars.
They had 2 older ladies rolling in the back.
The man asks me what I like and suggests I pick up anything from their maduro line.
I grab a robusto and churchill and took them home.
Looked up the cigar company and found:
www.elbesocigars.com
Watched the video, and felt cheated. Cause NONE of those ladies were to be found.
Got to smoking the robusto yesterday.
Out of the cello, the cigar smelled decent. Lightening up, the first 1/2" was kinda bland, felt like I was smoking a cigarette more then a cigar.
Started to get some earth/leather tones but no spice. No changes till the last inch when the leather tones got stronger.
I think the cigar was really poorly constructed or used some cheap tobacco. You guys would know more then me. I like to build my ash. We had 5-8 mph winds which is nothing and the ash would just flake away. Weird.
I'll post soon about the churchhill. Perhaps I just got a bad stick.
