Tonight is the last review, left the (theoritically) best for last. Cohiba Robusto. That's if I ever make it home!

The 12 Robustos of Xmas, Day 12:
Cohiba Robusto
Although one of the newest brands in Cuba, Cohiba is considered the cream of the crop, the ?King of Cubans? in the cigar world. Their vitolas are the most desired amongst the cigar afficionados, and are generally the most expensive brand on the market. Established in 1966, Cohiba cigars were produced in limited numbers and were presented as diplomatic gifts. In 1982, Cohiba cigars became available in the market. The Robustos were launched in 1989, as part of the Linea Clasica. Their complexity and strength, as well as Cohiba?s unparalleled quality make it a true masterpiece, the best robusto in the world for many.
Appearance & Prelight 13/15
Like every Cohiba, the Robusto is a beautiful cigar. It has a tan coloured, oily wrapper, some very smooth veins and some wrinkles. The bunch is solid and the triple cap is flat and well applied. Strong aromas of earth and vanilla can be found on the foot of the cigar and the prelight draw is perfect.
Flavour & Body 24/25
The Cohiba characteristics appear from the first draw. Medium to full body at the start, earthy and creamy flavours and a peppery finish. Into the second third the cigar gets more complex. Wood, caramel, honey and cedar are some of the flavours I could identify, with plenty of earth and wood, all perfectly balanced in a great harmony. In the last third the flavours get stronger and the body fuller. Notes of cocoa and leather are adding to its huge complexity? The Cohiba Robusto is simply delicious!
Draw & Burn 23/25
My eagerness to get a picture taken while flaming the Cohiba, resulted in getting the cigar burning sideways. After an inch and a half, the burn evens out and stays even until the end. The ash is firm , dark grey in colour, and reaches more than two inches in length, before it falls off, revealing a large, pyramid shaped coal. The draw is perfect all the way through, delivering thick smoke, with the dinstinctive Cohiba creamy texture.
Overall impression 34/35
The Cohiba Robusto is not just one of the best robustos in the market, but one of Cohiba?s best cigars. It carries all of the characteristics of the brand, being strong, complex and well balanced. Mellow but yet sharp, strong but not overwhelming, sweet but also spicy, the only think you will not like about it is that you will eventually have to put it down. I have enjoyed every single Cohiba Robusto that I have had and this one was no exception. It is not recommended for a beginner, but it was the first Cuban cigar I ever tried and surely, it got me hooked!
TOTAL 94/100
Epilogue coming tomorrow...

Again, you have outdone yourself, Yiorgos! Great review and thread. It was a joy to read.
Looks like we have a winner as king of the robustos.
How do these compare to the Siglo II? The Siglo II is the only Cohiba that I have tried. Are they similar flavor profiles or totally different? They sound different based on your description of the robusto. Anyone?
I may be tempted to get a box of robustos now, but do not want to buy them if they are similar in flavor to the Siglo II. just wondering...

Christmas is over officially, and all my robustos are gone. I enjoyed smoking and reviewing these cigars, even though it was hard sometimes, especially on days I was stuck in work for the evening. I got to try cigars I had never smoked before (H.Uppmann Conni #1, SLR Regio, RyJ Ex.#4) and smoke brands I haven't had in a while (ERDM, VR, Trinidad).
My favourite robusto after smoking all of them? Well, I was pleasantly surprised by a lot of them and dissapointed from some of them too. I will do a countdown, from 3 to 1 (cigaraficionado style)!
I was pleasantly surprised and really enjoyed the Trinidad Robusto T. Very smooth cigar, complex and creamy, fantastic construction, perfect draw and burn. If you want a cigar that is the closest to a Cohiba Robusto, but not as strong, then the Trinidad is what you are looking for! Well deserved 3rd place and 93 points.
The Partagas D4 has always been one of my favourite cigars - if not the No.1. Its consistency is phenomenal, even though it is produced in huge amounts every year. You really need to look hard to find a bad D4. Strong and full bodied, bold and rustic, complex and balanced, the D4 is a fantastic cigar. And whats even more amazing is that year after year it is getting better and better. And whats even more amazing is its value. It is one of the cheapest robustos and actually half the price of the cigar on the top spot. 2nd place, not too far away from No.1.
My favourite cigar from this series of review, was the highest rated cigar, the mighty Cohiba Robusto. I don't get to smoke a Cohiba very often. But when I do, it is always an experience that I will remember it for a while! The flavour of a Cohiba Robusto is so unique and different that it cannot be compared to anything else. The Trinidad T was the closest , but the creaminess and sweet spicyness of the Cohiba was unparalleled. If price is not an issue, then the Cohiba Robusto is possibly the best Robusto money can buy. 1st place.
Since I wrote the review of the Cohiba Robusto yesterday, I have been trying to think if there is another Cuban Robusto that could score higher than 94. in fact I have tried one that has been amazing, but did not review or score it. I still have some of them in my humidor, and I will review one tomorrow in order to make it a baker's dozen! I am not telling you which one it is, you will have to wait till tomorrow night to find out!
I would like to thank you for following my scribbles and for your feedback. I have enjoyed reviewing these cigars, and I will be posting some reviews more often.
