And I must say, it's my favourite non-cuban so far, construction was pretty good and consistent throughout, I ashed it 3 times, it could have probably held a pretty long ash if I wanted to do that sort of thing

It was very quick and painless to light, great even burn all the way down, no issues at all, perfect and uniform.

It had a nice draw which was just right, with copious amounts of smooth tasty smoke.

No huge flavours or nuances jumped out at me, but there was a few there, and they were nice, I'd have to give it more attention to nail down what they were, but I'm not too worried about the lack of strong flavours for what is for me, a very good all occasions great value smoke, I was more interested in smoking a nice cigar to enjoy my movie by, so I didn't really give it as much attention as one would for a proper review, but it was so unexpectedly good, I thought I'd write a quick review.

And it was a good value smoke that was perfect all the way through, of the non-cubans I've smoked so far, not that I've smoked a vast amount of them yet, but there has always been something in there that has turned on me, or a characteristic not to my liking has reared it's head, which detracts somewhat from the experience, but the fact this was perfect in every way to the end, very smooth and tasty all the way, makes it my favourite non-cuban so far, there was literally nothing bad about this cigar in any way.

It was one of those cigars that had all the qualities that reaffirmed why I enjoy smoking cigars, not bad for the money

I will almost certainly acquire a box of these in the future.

Thanks GMan for introducing me to it

        Sure Bet

No "maybe," Habby old barnacle, GO FOR IT!

The entire 5 Vegas line is (after the Don Kiki Red) an absolute "must" el cheapo, more for the money, consistently good NC see-gar. IMNSHO they are impeccably made, consistent, and a seriously tasty value smoke.

Nice review ! Short and sweet. I find the A series 5 Vegas a must try if U like the
Red Lable. Much more complex and the wrapper says it all. Most of the cigars offered by G-Man are cigars to enjoy and not to be some sort of snob sitting by himself thinking he's superior to others . I call it bang for the buck!

The Padilla Miami is nice, nice, nice...and the 5 Vegas Gold is meh...just goes to show you how different ones tastes can be! (Another reason I don't take too much stock in CA's ratings )

For the 5 Vegas line I would suggest:

                Series A
                Miami (Pepin blend)
                Limitada '08 (smoking well now)
Relic (maybe since it's a perfecto and I'm a sucker for perfectos??)

I look forward to trying the new Triple-A.

All are definately a budget stick and I personally wouldn't pay more then $2/each with the exception of the Miami. I would go $3 with that one since it is better then good!
Trying is the first step toward failure.

I've tried the whole range and found them to be good quality cigars.

                    I have a few 5Vegas which I got through Mr G-Man .

Haven't tried all of them, but while I quite liked the Classic (i.e. the red labelled one, like the one reviewed here), as Sean I can't say I was much impressed by the Gold. To me it tasted too much of plain tobacco and not much more... almost felt I was smoking a cigarette at times.

I?m also getting a ton of smoke with each puff, and the draw is perfect. Cutting the cap proved to be a little more sloppy than I like.
