Sorry for the late entry to this thread (catching up!), but I picked up a couple of Chinchalero's at http://www.mysmokingshop.co.uk when I was there recently on the basis that they are just about the cheapest handrolled cigars on general sale in the UK and I wanted to test if this actually translated into actual value for money.
My smokes were the Chico 4"/30 (?1.65 single) and the short fat Fuerte Novillo Maduro 4"/66 (?3.89 single).
Chico - very mild and a good draw for a small hand-rolled (that can often be too tight). In terms of taste these are possibly too mild, but there again at the price they make a good 'pub' (or coffee break) cigar for when you want a shorter smoke but don't want to resort to a small machine made. That said, I think I still prefer Panter Mignons for this role, and they are half the price again of the Chicos for about the same smoking time.
Feurte - again very mild with an easy draw and quite a sweet taste (the dark maduro wrapper no doubt). It lasted around 45 minutes, but the one I had suffered a very uneven burn. Also the band was stuck to the cigar itself with a big blob of glue (something I never like - the Chico was the same).
In summery I found both to be ok cigars, and at the price for hand-rolls you can't complain too much I guess, but while I perhaps may invest in a box of 25 Chicos in the future (?35.85) for my 'pub' smokes, I don't think I will bother with the larger sizes...
