I tried one last night and these are going through there Sick Period , my advice, as most have already said, they need a year's rest and then have a look again, just dated mine to remind me .Jan 2011
"Aye have to be Patient"
I had one of these last August and like many people have said in this thread, they're a little too young. I thought they had some wonderful flavours but we're unbalanced and just so rough around the edges. Let them rest. I wouldn't be surprised that in two years ago that plenty of boxes of these will be floating around at a reasonable price that they will be at a good point to buy and smoke.
There does seem to be a collective conclusion here:
The PBEL09 is not ready to smoke now (indeed for some almost un-smokable)
It MAY come good in 2-5 years time.
Lay down and see, perhaps the'll become great, perhaps not.
BTW - Can anyone name a smoke that was un-smokable for the first year but went on to be 'a bit of teriffic' (Look - no butter, no pastry, and no Sugar!).

That was actually a guest review, but my reviewer enjoyed the cigar but thought it needed some definite age. Is that the consensus you guys have come to?
Great way to start by reviving an old thread but anyway, just for info, had one of these last night and while they definitely are improving, there's still a good whack of ammonia at the back of the throat... So while I think the light is appearing at the end of the tunnel I'd guess at least another couple of years would be good for these
